If you wish to add “va” for formality, select the 8va and go over to the inspector. With your palette window open, type 8va in the search bar and it should come right up.Just put the sign below the staff instead of above.(See image 5)ġ 2 3 4 5 Notating the 8va(ottava) in Musescore To indicate that a segment of music should be played one octave lower, an 8va bassa(octava bassa) could be used.Optionally, the word loco(at place) can be added for clarity as to the ending of the all’ottava, though also not necessary.for some reason my local manual doesnt work with that one it just comes up as 'MuseScore - Index - Lines. Generate 8 or 8va in bold italic 12 pt staff text. The end of the 8va can be anchored to any note/rest (see handbook 'Lines'). Generate a generic line that does nothing to playback make it dashed make it invisible on tab staff. Transposed up one octave it never enters. It is almost entirely in the lower ledger lines. For this particular part, its full range is one octave in size, starting at the low E. Bass Guitar is octave transposong though, notated with the standard bass. My report has been deleted and got the following e-mail: 'Guitar is not a (n octave) transposing instrument, it is notated using the G Clef 8va bassa. Insert clef +/- 8 or 15 as needed make it invisible. For this one guitar part, in this one score, I wanted to display the low E, open 6th sting, as the bottom staff line in 8va down treble clef. Hi, an hour ago I reported a bug where I point out that the guitar and bass guitar are not been transposed by musescore.
